Rob has recently pioneered an online teaching course for American Artist Magazine and has also been busy filming a series of nine tutorial dvds on painting and drawing which are available through his website.Ĭurated by Art of Day, TwitterFirstFriday creative exhibitions reach an even larger audience through Facebook and the TFF Gallery Edition newsletter. American Artist’s Workshop Magazine featured one of Rob’s Ireland workshops in their Spring 2006 issue. He teaches at The Art League of Virginia and holds workshops throughout the United States and abroad. TEACHING Rob is known for his inspiring and informative teaching style. Rob also completed a sculpture of a fifteen foot crucifix which hangs above the alter in a “Our Lady of Mercy” church in Potomac, Maryland. A life sized marble statue of Mother Teresa also stands in the Shrine, based on Robert’s design. He has created a series of carved marble reliefs which are now permanently located in the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.

Rob’s portrait demonstrations have become a favorite for students attending the Portrait Societies’ Portrait Academies. Bush, Senior, and Ambassador Sol Linowitz. Three of Rob’s drawings were selected to be displayed in New York’s prestigious Arnot Museum of Art. American Artist magazine highlighted Rob’s drawing techniques as the cover feature in their May 2002 annual drawing issue and American Art Collector magazine published an article on his figure painting in their March 2010 issue. In the February 2006 issue of The Artists’ Magazine Rob was selected as one of the top 20 artists under the age of forty.įIGURES Rob is perhaps best known for his classic and distinctive style of figure drawing and painting. He works in a variety of mediums including pencil, chalk, pen and ink, watercolor, and oil. His work is inspired by the centuries of knowledge, skill, and elegance of the old masters.
